May’s Friday get-together

On Friday evening SpLinter Group members came together at the Family Hub in Blyth, which was our first time using a different location for our monthly gathering. We are planning to build more links with Family Hubs across the county so we can enable people to meet up in a range of venues. The Family Hubs are going to take part in Safe Places training too, as part of the Point A project.

It was a great evening. We made sure everyone had something to enjoy, as well as taking part in planning our Point A project plans, including Mario Party video games hosted by Dennis Kinghorn and a quiz created by Jordan Turnbull. It was a great opportunity for us to mix with other members and make new friends whilst enjoying the food that we made ourselves. We recorded people’s ideas about the issues that they think we need to pick up on, including money, relationships, friends and social groups, work and housing.
