On Wednesday afternoons a few of the SpLinter members have been attending a six-week digital content creation course led by Digital Voice for Communities. This course has provided us with an introduction to graphic design software used to create posters and social media content, and an introduction to short form video content. It has been a lot of fun learning how to use Canva (the featured image was created with this) and also discovering how to create short form video using Capcut.
It’s been an interesting, engaging course to take part in and we have learnt some new skills along the way! Everyone has been very welcoming and it’s been nice to meet new faces from other neurodiverse organisations in the area. It’s been a great opportunity for us to mingle with like-minded individuals and also to explore new places like the Northern Butterflies Allotment where we filmed some videoclips.
Our final session is happening this week – hopefully there will be an opportunity for us to attend another course led by Digital Voice for Communities in the future.
