What geographical area does your organisation cover?
Northumberland

What are the aims of your organisation and what do you do?
To provide care and support for 24 clients with a learning disability ensuring they have a full life promoting independence as much as possible. End of life care and a 6 bed respite service for short or long term stays is provided and we specialize in downs syndrome dementia

What services do you currently offer, that would be useful and accessible to adults who identify as neurodivergent, autistic or with a learning disability?
All clients using service have a diagnosis of a learning disability and staff are trained to provide support for people with autism and other adults who are neurodivergent. We specialize in end of life care and downs syndrome/dementia. We work with people who have behaviours that challenge the service and work closely with the behaviour support team.

Where in Northumberland can you meet people who may be referred?
We arrange pre visits at their home, at day services where other people attend who also use the service, and here in the home.

What is the process for referring someone to your services?
Referrals are usually made by care management, where we arrange a visit then overnight stay until the person feels ready to use service

What could someone expect will happen next, once they have been referred?
Pre visits are arranged where we visit client then a visit is arranged for them here then meal visit one overnight stay then a weekend until the person is confident enough to use service

Feedback from families is very complimentary all proffessionals state that this is a friendly, warm and happy service.
