What are the aims of your organisation and what do you do?
Children North East exists because growing up can be hard. We work with babies, children and young people in their families, schools and communities to ensure they grow up to be healthy and happy.

What services do you currently offer, that would be useful and accessible to adults who identify as neurodivergent, autistic or with a learning disability?
Our employability project for neurodivergent young people helps 16-25 year olds who may need support with increasing their confidence and improving their employability skills. We aim to support neurodivergent young adults to overcome barriers and develop opportunities to enter the workplace, enabling them to move forward in their life.
A mentoring programme with a difference, it will connect you with someone who can provide guidance and support tailored to your needs and ambitions. Our mentors can provide help with:
Exploring hopes and goals for the future Accessing different work experience opportunities Accessing qualifications
Workshops to support interview skills and CV writing
Gaining employment

What is the process for referring someone to your services?
We have an online referral form that needs to be completed. This is a quick and straightforward form.

What could someone expect will happen next, once they have been referred?
Once the referral has been received and processed, we will be in contact to arrange a chat to get more information, understand your needs and how we might be able to support. It is also a chance to find out more about the project.
