At the beginning of August, SpLinter Group members went on an exciting mini-break to Amble Links Caravan park. Our mini-break was organised through WATBreak which is a new initiave created by WATBus that provides individuals with the opportunity to have an affordable break at their caravan in Amble Links.

During our visit to Amble we enjoyed a delicious meal out at the Fish Shack which looks over the harbour and pier. A couple of SpLinter members also had a fun time exploring Amble highstreet along with having ice cream together at Spurrelini ! Whilst a few of us organised to do a boat cruise with Puffin Cruises to see the marine life surrounding Coquet Island. We were very fortunate to see a pod of seals along with various seabirds who migrate to the island in the summertime. There is another boat cruise being planned for everyone staying in Amble on the Thursday.

Special thanks go to Julia for helping us to organise this mini-break with WATBreak. We had such a fun time being altogether at the caravan. Not only was it lots of fun but it really helped us to gain independence, whilst learning to live with each other, and practising our social skills! We really hope we can do it again soon.
